Paris has stolen my heart from the first time I set foot in this magical city. Beautiful architecture, stunning buildings, historical landmarks, vibrant & artistic atmosphere, the je-ne-sais-quoi-feeling you have while strolling around in its streets .. Ah, I just love this city.
I’ve been to the French capital about seven times now, and it never seems to disappoint. Funny thing is, when I visited in the past, I didn’t take a lot of pictures. The past few years, I only had a handful of ‘beautiful’ pictures of the city. All other pictures were just me & some random building, the Eiffel tower, .. Nothing special in fact ..
After launching ‘My Out Of Office’ and getting in touch with other bloggers, I decided to be more attentive to the beauty of this city, and try to capture ‘moments’ instead of just posing. Today, I’m taking you with me during our two-day-stay in the city of love..
On our first day, we went for a stroll in the lesser-known parts of Paris: a walk next to the Canal Saint Martin, having a drink in the ’11me arrondisement’, a hike to ‘Belleville’ Hill, going up Montmartre from the side, .. All things that made us love Paris even more.
Oh, and ever seen the Louvre by night? Breathtaking!
On our second day, we DID visit the Eiffel Tower, and took a few pictures there. Although the weather was dreadful, we enjoyed this iconic view to the fullest. There is always something magical about Paris and the Eiffel Tower, don’t you agree?
After been soaked for hours on our bicycle – yes, we strolled through Paris with a bike, but I’ll tell you about that later – the sun finally found its way through the clouds, so we decided to heat up at one of the most beautiful squares of the whole of Paris: Place des Vosges. Finally a bit of sunshine!

- Address: Hôtel Langlois, 63 Rue Saint-Lazare (100m from metro-stop Trinité)
- Price per night: 150 euro (tip: take a look at booking-last minuted) and booked for 70 euros via Booking.com. Breakfast not included, but can be added for 15 euros per person
- Accommodations: Free wifi, big Parisian-style rooms and art-deco interior. Very friendly staff. Close to Vélib-renting station.

Would love to hear about your bike stroll experience in Paris. I wish I could re-visit Paris again soon. Next time, I’ll make sure it will have plenty of long walks, much more than we did previously a lifetime ago. You’ve taken such beautiful pictures!

Paris has stolen my heart and I haven’t even been there. It has always been a dream of mine to go there. I am now learning French because I am visualizing myself being there. I hope to fulfil this dream of mine, and reading this gives me more inspiration.
